Hermeneutic landscapes
These landscapes from the andalusian countryside are bathed in harsh light.
Nathalie noted the dynamics of full and empty, order and chaos, water and sand. The proliferation of grasses and branches misleads the eye which struggles to focus. This uncertainty also runs through the last sequence in which the traces of human activity scattered throughout the sun-scorched Andalusian countryside merge with nature itself. Perhaps the essential strength of this ensemble lies in its ternary rhythm, creating a circular movement of which we finally forget where it begins and where it ends. This is why when I saw these images for the first time, I thought of the solea and these delicate arpeggio clusters sparkling in the eternal darkness. Loneliness, and much more.
